Intermittent Administration: Adults and children: For bronchodilators in the management of reversible airways obstruction, in asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Administration by inhalation results in the rapid onset within 5-15 minutes use 2.5-5.0 mL via a nebuliser and the patient is allowed to inhale the nebulised solution until bronchodilation is achieved by using 4 times daily.
Continuous Administration: Inhale the nebulised solution by diluted 2.5 mL with normal saline for injection 25-50 mL to give salbutamol concentration about 0.005-0.01% via a nebuliser. The usual rate of administration is 1-2 mg/hr.
